if millennials need to take “stupid” classes about how to be adults, then it’s bc no one taught them these “stupid” stuff. and who was supposed to do that? oh yeah, their parents, the baby boomers.
it’s also cause they been gradually taking these out as high school classes and we got less participation in after school programs and organizations that would’ve taught kids these kind of skills
Yeah like, weren’t these skills taught in Home Ec classes that straight up dont exist anymore? I mean, i was born in 1995 and the only time I’ve even heard of Home Ec is from TV and movies.
And I know that the real purpose it served was to teach young girls to become housewives, but bringing back these classes as mandatory for everyone would be a really good thing because these are life skills
Pretty sure most men from the older generation don’t know how to sew on a button and wouldn’t even consider taking a class for it. They’d hand the thing over to their wife/daughter/mother expecting them to know it

My name is Reb. I am 18 years old. My brother is turning 5 in February 2019. He has cancer. He was diagnosed with leukemia on August 2016. He is the sweetest boy you’ll ever see. He is such a strong fighter. He almost always had a smile whenever he was in the hospital for treatment. My mother has to drive out of the city an hour and a half one way to get him to the children’s hospital in Birmingham, Al. She is a single mother with 7 kids including me. My 4 younger siblings live with her currently. She works as a hostess at Cracker Barrel. She barely gets $100 a week. I have been trying to find a job to support her. Please donate or reblog to help cover hospital bills, gas, food, cost of living. I know you see a lot of these posts, but please even if it is $1. We need money form him, my kitten, the house. Our electricity will get cut off in 5 days…. I do t know how to make a post like this. I AM BEGGING EVERYONE. PLEASE HAVE KINDNESS IN YOUR HEARTS AND MERCY IN YOUR SOUL.
